The Grinch in ICE!

Hello, I am way behind! We had so much fun this Christmas break! This was our first Christmas staying home and having our own little family Christmas. The time has flown by and I have to catch up. Before Christmas we decided to go down to Nashville TN and see the sites. We have lived here for 7 years and had never been to the Grand Ole Opry hotel. We heard that it is amazing at Christmas and that there is other activities going on during the holidays. ICE is one of the attractions down there in December. They take a different theme each year and build the story out of ice. This year it was the Grinch! It was awesome and amazing at the same time! You had to wear theses blue coats because they have to keep the building cold enough to keep the ice from melting. I guess they hired out 30 or so ice sculptures to carve all of this within a months time. Jon and I enjoyed it and the kids did too for a while until they got cold.... Enjoy!!!
This was the beginning... you walk into a igloo- it was amazing that the dome didn't fall on you... They also painted the ice to make it come to life!

The whoo village

Mr. Grinch and his dog....
In this room there was two ice sides you could go down... Caiden and Jon went down but the line was to long to wait for another turn before you froze!

Kaebrii and me in the Ice tunnel.... I don't know how the ice sculptures did all of this!

Kaebs by Mr. Grinch's dog

The detail was amazing! This is all ice!!!

By this time Caiden was ready to go... it is kind of hard to see but his face looks and is frozen!

At the very end they had a huge room that they carved the nativity in ....

Again, the detail was awesome....

Jon liked the camels in the background.... They had put lights inside of the ice to light it up!
Sorry, these pictures don't show all... we had a blast and wish you all could of seen it first hand!!!
