We had a couple of crazy months with our little maeli grace. To make a long story short.....It all started out with a little of red in the diaper to and ultrasound of the kidneys to a MRI to 90% kidney cancer = the worst weekend of our lives! We spent 3 days of planning chemo for our little 9 month old. Fasting, the many prayers made unbelievable blessings. We went to the pediatric urologist on Monday with questions about treatment and chemo. Another specialist happened to be up from Seattle. He wanted to do surgery and canceled his flight and and patients to stay in town to help with the surgery. They took our little baby for surgery the next morning and 4 long hours later the urologist/surgeon brought us to a small room and told us the news... it was a benign mass. NO CANCER!! Jon jumped up and gave the surgeon a huge hug! Our testimonies of fasting and prayer grew enourmously!!! We have a trooper of a little girl!!! she won the heart of all of the nurses!
They had a dog come through the pediatric unit. Maeli loves dogs!!!

Maeli ended up back in the hospital for Easter. 2 days before easter she came down with fever that didn't let up. they immediately admitted her to the hospital and she was the sickest kid in the unit that night. They were afraid she was bleeding internally. She fought through and got to enjoy a hospital easter basket. Caiden and Kaebrii brought her the easter basket from the house too...
