I am still trying to catch up on October events.....

I ran the Indianapolis half Marathon in October. It was a lot of fun. I drove up the morning of with Erin Wilkes and we met up with Waveney Taylor. The race was crowded but fun. We ran through the main streets and some neighborhoods. The highlight was running through the state park with the changing fall leaves and the lake. It was beautiful and a good change of scenery.(and the finish line was a highlight also...) My goal was to keep a steady pace throughout the race. I tend to run the first couple of miles really fast and then at the end I start to die off. I accomplished my goal and had a very enjoyable run. I ran it in 1 hour 42 minutes. I finshed 6th out of 256 girls in my age group. I was excited because I didn't know what to expect with not training that much... I wish I could keep a good training schedule. I never train like I want too.....

Good job, Amber. Spencer thinks if you had time to "train" then you could go professional. Sixth place is fantastic! Especially in your age group (twenties?) having had two kids
wow- good time on your run! You rock Amber!
