Driving a huge truck with a huge trailer with two toddlers across the plains of Nebraska and Wyoming... not a good combination. Actually the kids were great it was the adults that were going nuts! We didn't have too many issues... except for the hotels. the first night we were awakened at 1 am from the alarm clock of our neighbors which turned out to be an empty room after we checked with the front desk and had to get a key to turn it off... and the next night we were awakened with the fire alarm (you will never sleep through a fire alarm at a hotel!) at 4 am. someone had burned a waffle!? We also had an issue with a brake on our trailer. but it was good to get all the corkes worked out before my father-in-law and Jon made the long haul to Alaska! We made good time but paid a fortune in gas with a strong head wind all the way to Utah. We were grateful for a safe trip and knew that sanity would be coming soon as we would be leaving on a cruise that weekend!
